Case Study: A French Maison's Limited-Edition Watch Launch

The Brief

A French maison approached SIEPACK in late 2025 with a 200-unit limited-edition timepiece launch. The brief was uncompromising: the packaging had to photograph as well as the watch itself, function as a permanent display case in the buyer's home, and weigh under 1.2kg for shipping.

We don't want a box. We want a private museum that happens to hold a watch.

The Solution

We engineered a domed-lid concealed-hinge rigid box with a velvet-cut watch pillow and a hand-numbered brass plaque. The exterior was wrapped in a custom deep-emerald leather paper with gold foil stamping.

  • Domed presentation lid with optical-grade interior.
  • Velvet-cut watch pillow milled to timepiece dimensions.
  • Hand-numbered brass plaque (001–200).
  • Final shipped weight: 1.08kg per unit.

The launch sold out in 47 minutes. Customer-generated photography of the unboxing generated over 14 million social impressions — the most-photographed packaging moment of the maison's year.
